Abstract

Religious character is vital to adolescent personality development but faces threats from technology and environmental factors. This community service initiative aimed to enhance such character through Islamic Guidance and Counseling (BKI) support. Employing a Participatory Action Research (PAR) methodology—incorporating mentoring, counseling, and habituation—the program engaged 40 participants (a 92% participation rate). Results showed an increase in the average religious character score from 68.88% to 86.88% (an 18% rise). The most significant improvement was observed in Quran recitation (23%), followed by obedience, discipline, and social concern (19% each). Observations indicated positive behavioral changes. The program proved effective, and its continuation is recommended to reinforce character education in schools.
