Edukasi Penggunaan Artificial Intelligence Bagi Santri Pondok Pesantren Qur'an Al-Lathifah Kabupaten Bekasi

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has increasingly influenced educational practices, including learning environments in Islamic boarding schools, making AI literacy an urgent need for santri. This community service program aimed to improve the understanding of santri at Pondok Pesantren Qur’an Al-Lathifah, Bekasi Regency, regarding the productive, critical, and responsible use of AI. The program employed a participatory-educative approach through initial observation, educational sessions, hands-on training, and guided practice involving 20 santri. The results showed that santri were highly enthusiastic in using AI to support learning activities, such as understanding materials, summarizing information, and generating study questions. However, the program also highlighted the importance of information verification, guidance from ustadz, and the internalization of Islamic values such as amanah, adab, and academic responsibility in using AI. Therefore, the pesantren is recommended to develop simple guidelines and sustainable AI literacy programs. These findings are important in offering a value-based AI education model relevant to pesantren in the digital era.
